The Derby Public Library has a variety of unique media collections including large print books, books on CD, music CDs, Spanish and Polish language books and a local history collection.
In addition to our special local history books and microfilms, we have an assortment of antique postcards, stereopticons and stereographs, as well as a variety of photographs from throughout Derby’s history. The Derby Public Library also owns many historical artifacts on display in the library including a basket made by local legendary Native American Molly Hatchet and a copy of George Washington’s Farewell Address (published in Hartford).
