The Derby Public Library offers many services with seniors in mind. These include the following:
Books on CD – Bestsellers, fiction and nonfiction titles. Give your eyes a rest and just listen!
Large Print Books – Lots of titles, easier on the eyes.
Recreation Passes – Free or reduced admissions to museums, state parks, zoos and aquariums
Lunchtime Book Discussions – Held on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 12:30pm. Bring a sandwich and a friend. Dessert and beverages are provided.
Sports Talk – Join our group of Silver Sluggers every Thursday at 10am during baseball season. Refreshments are always on hand!
Basic PC Classes – Held on the third Tuesday of each month at 10am and the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm.
AARP Driver Safety Refresher Course – Spring and fall classes offered.
Book Sales – Held in our upper meeting room every spring and fall.
Social Security Information Sessions – Social Security Specialist is on hand to answer all your questions during these monthly gatherings. Call us for dates and times.
Topical Titles – Covering such subject matter as retirement, travel, hobbies, grandparenting and more!
