Obtain a Library Card
Derby residents, both adults and children (ages 3+) may obtain a free library card with proof of residence. Children between the ages of 3-11 must have their cards signed by a parent or guardian. Patrons must use their own library card when checking out materials. There is a $1.00 replacement fee for lost cards.
Connecticut residents with a valid card from their hometown library may borrow Derby Public Library materials. Library card holders may also access remote database resources on the Internet with their library card ID.
