Age-appropriate story times are offered with sessions in the spring, fall, and winter months for children 6 months to 5 years old. Registration is requested.
Baby and Me
This program designed for infants 6 to 12 months old includes songs, rhymes, movements, board books, and interaction with their caregiver. It’s never too early to introduce your baby to books. This 20 minute lap sit program is followed by play and conversation.
Nursery Rhyme Time
Toddlers 12 to 24 months with caregiver are invited to join this half-hour program which includes finger plays, stories and rhymes, along with music and movement activities.
Time for Two’s
Stories, rhymes, songs, movement, and a simple craft are part of this story time offered for children ages 25-36 months old along with a caregiver.
Preschool Story Time
Children ages 3-5 are welcome to join us for stories, songs, musical instruments, and a craft. This program is designed to be an early school-readiness experience. Children attend independently with a caregiver remaining in the Children’s Room.
After School Programs
Once a month throughout the school year, an after school program takes place on Tuesday afternoons offering children, ages 5-9 (Grades K-4) an opportunity to share in seasonal or holiday themed activities including arts, crafts, and stories.
Programs for children of all ages take place once a month and include story times for families, crafts, library scavenger hunts, and more!
Family Fun Nights
Friday night is family night! Families are welcome to join the fun during these monthly events offered on Friday evenings at 6:30 p.m. featuring magic shows, bingo, holiday-themed programs, live animal exhibits, storytellers, musical performers and more!
Ready to Sandy
Therapy dog Sandy visits the Library once a month. Children ages 5-11 are given a 10 to 15 minute time slot to read to Sandy. What a great opportunity to enhance reading skills, build confidence, and create a love of reading.
These programs are offered at various times throughout the year.
Bilingual Story Time
Books read in both Spanish and English are part of this 45 minute story time.
Sensory Story Time
This story time, which is open to children ages 3-6, is especially geared to children with sensory issues. If your child has difficulty sitting through one of the Library’s other story times, this program of stories, music, movement, and other activities may be just what you are looking for.
Summer Reading Program
A themed reading program takes place from June to August for all reading leveling including pre-readers.
